Free Christian Matrimonial Platform With iOS and Android Apps for Jesus Choice

Kerala's Christian families looking for a match have two bad options. The big national matrimonial portals treat "Christian" as one checkbox, so a Syro-Malabar family in Thrissur wades through profiles that mean nothing to them and pays a subscription for the privilege. The informal alternative — a parish notice, a relative's phone contact — reaches a handful of people and verifies nothing.

Jesus Choice's brief was to build what neither offers: a matchmaking portal, explicitly not a dating app, where rite, diocese and parish are first-class fields, where a parent or sibling can run the search on a young person's behalf, and where nobody is ever asked to pay. "Free" is the product's whole positioning, which raises the bar everywhere else — the moderation, the verification and the privacy controls have to carry the trust that a paywall usually signals.

Three constraints shaped the build. Every profile had to be reviewed by a human before it became visible. Contact details had to stay locked until the profile owner approved a request. And the mobile apps had to clear App Store and Play Store review for a category that handles personal data, photos and messaging — which means a complete policy surface and a self-serve account-deletion route, not just a wrapped website.

We delivered the web platform and both native apps as one product on a shared Laravel backend:

• Community-aware profiles: every profile records rite, diocese and parish, so search works the way these families actually think — by church and by diocese — with a dedicated page for each diocese and each of the eight-plus communities served.
• Human review before anything goes live: photos, identity and details are checked by the Jesus Choice team before a profile is published, with optional government ID submission for a verified badge.
• Family-assisted search: parents or siblings can create and manage a profile and handle the matchmaking themselves, which is how most Kerala Christian marriages are still arranged.
• Privacy by default: photos can be hidden, and phone numbers are locked until a member requests them and the owner approves — so sending an interest never exposes a contact.
• Interests, messaging and notifications: members send interests, exchange messages and get notified on web and in the apps.
• Native iOS and Android apps: published as com.jesusyouth.matrimonial on Google Play and on the App Store for iOS 15 and later — listing copy, screenshots, submission, review handling and the account-deletion flow the stores require.
• A live "families joining" widget on the homepage showing recent sign-ups by name and place, built as reusable social proof instead of a static counter.
• Organic acquisition built in: community pages, diocese pages, pages for the Kerala Christian diaspora in Singapore, Australia, the UK, Ireland, Canada and the USA, and an articles section — a search footprint that compounds rather than an install budget that runs out.
• Trust and compliance surface: terms, privacy, cancellation and refund and child-protection policies, a help centre and an FAQ, plus a site-wide notice that the service never asks for payment and a number to call if anyone claims otherwise.
